Getting Shit Back on the Road

I won’t lie, the past few months have been utter chaos, but things seem to be settling down a bit now. My tenancy was coming to an end where I was renting with another guy, I’d just finished uni, I needed money and I needed somewhere to live.

I managed to bag a job and a flat and I’ve only just now connected my computer after a few weeks of living here. I’m slowly starting to feel more settled and like shit is falling into place.

It’s a bit mad - I’m living on my own again now and hopefully it’ll stay that way for the forseeable future. I’m sat in my bedroom with Geany open typing this up, thinking back to when I lived halfway down the country years ago and I’d be doing the same thing, laying on my bed on my laptop typing up articles for my site back when the site was called Surgery Waste with no custom domain! Now there’s a throwback. Clicking that link and seeing at the time my track on repeat was Tricks by ohGr and that was around the time Tricks (the album) was released……… how the fuck am I feeling nostalgic for 2018?

Anyway, I’ve been tinkering with things for the site on the side: there’s a webring in the works with my good friend Sarah over at Human Raccoon, I have Spotify playlists pretty much ready to be assembled into mixtapes and added on here, and I have a shit ton of things I need to scan and post. I really want to get back in the habit of regular updates as I’m noticing myself spending more and more time on social media sites (Twitter mostly, but Tumblr is becoming a bit of a sinkhole too) and I don’t like that shit at all.
